Prikkete?

Black Cab

Jens Lekmans Black Cab kan du laste ned her. To andre bra sanger av fyren som du også kan laste ned er You Are The Light og Rocky Dennis Farewellsong To The Blind Girl.
Oh no, God damn
I missed the last tram
I killed a party again
God damn, God damn
I wanna sleep in my bed
I wanna clean up my head
Don’t wanna look this dead
Don’t wanna feel this dread
I killed a party again
I ruined it for my friends
Well you’re so silent, Jens
Well maybe I am, maybe I am
Now at the central station
No time for being patient
I feel like going home
But at the same time I don’t
Black cab
And I’ve heard all the stories
’bout the black cabs and the way they drive
But if you take a ride with them
You may not come back alive
They might be psycho killers
But tonight I really don’t care
So I say turn up the music
Take me home or take me anywhere
Black cab
You don’t know anything
So don’t ask me questions
You don’t know anything
So please don’t ask me any questions
You don’t know anything
So don’t ask me questions
Just turn the music up
And keep your mouth shut
Black cab

Radioheadfans

Fant denne hos At Ease. Det er fra et intervju med Michael Stipe, vokalisten i R.E.M.:
Michael: …at a Radiohead show in New York at the Beacon Theatre. It was a televised thing, and they had sold tickets for $2. The entire place was filled with fanatic Radiohead fans. Typically at a Radiohead show, everyone sings along to every song; they know every lyric. Sometimes you can’t even hear Thom Yorke’s voice over the din of the audience. But this night, when they walked onstage and started playing the first song, the audience was quiet, reverential. No one was singing along to any of the songs. It wasn’t until they played the song “No Surprises” that says “the government, they don’t speak for us.” And on that line, every single person in that room shouted out “the government, they don’t speak for us!” and on the next line of the lyric, they were dead quiet again. I was there with a group of people, including Q-Tip, and I looked over and Tip, and his mouth was hanging open. And I was like, “Did that just happen?” and he just nodded his head yes. Afterwards, we were sitting around at the bar with Thom and the band, and Tip and I said, “Do you realize what happened tonight?” and Thom said, “I almost fell over. I almost couldn’t sing the next line of the song.”

Metal?

Something’s fishy in Ohio

Something’s fishy in Ohio
«In the Ukraine, citizens are in the streets protesting what they charge is a fixed election. U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell expresses this nation’s concern about apparent voting irregularities. The media give the dispute around-the-clock coverage. But in the United States, massive and systemic voter irregularities go unreported and unnoticed.
Ohio is this election year’s Florida. The vote in Ohio decided the presidential race, but it was marred by intolerable, and often partisan, irregularities and discrepancies. U.S. citizens have as much reason as those in Kiev to be concerned that the fix was in.
In Ohio, a court just ruled there can’t be a recount yet, because the vote is not yet counted. It’s three weeks after the election, and Ohio still hasn’t counted the votes and certified the election. Some 93,000 overvotes and undervotes are not counted; 155,000 provisional ballots are only now being counted. Absentee ballots cast in the two days prior to the election haven’t been counted.»
«In one of dozens of examples, Ellen Connally, an African-American Supreme Court candidate running an underfunded race at the bottom of the ticket, received over 257,000 more votes than Kerry in 37 counties. She ran better than Kerry in the areas of the state where she wasn’t known and didn’t campaign than she did where she was known and did campaign.»
Ohio tally fit for Ukraine
«We learned, for example, that an additional 93,000 voters had gone to the polls yet machines had registered no preference of theirs for President. Only a manual recount can tell us for sure what happened to those 93,000 ballots.
Then, red-faced election officials in Franklin County admitted a computer error on Election Night had tallied 4,258 votes for Bush in a precinct where only 638 people voted. That correction alone will drop Bush’s margin by 3,620.»
